The Beginning of a New Chapter: SEW Expands Into Publishing

The Shareiff E. Worrell Company LLC is officially expanding into publishing, creating a new division focused on bringing our stories, characters, and original worlds to readers in a new way. As the company continues growing across film, animation, music, gaming, and digital media, publishing gives us another opportunity to extend our intellectual property beyond the screen and build deeper connections with audiences through books.

Leading this new chapter is Mackk Cat & the Lost Cookies, the first children’s book from the company. Featuring Mackk Cat, our official company brand ambassador, the book introduces readers to the heart, personality, and imagination behind one of SEW’s most recognizable characters. Its release represents more than the launch of a single title—it marks the beginning of a larger publishing strategy built around original storytelling and company-owned intellectual property.

The publishing division will allow SEW to develop books across multiple genres, age groups, and brands. Children’s stories, character-driven adventures, graphic novels, educational books, entertainment tie-ins, and other original works can now become part of the company’s growing library. Existing properties such as Mackk Cat, Zubbo, SEWverse, and future original creations all have the opportunity to expand into print while new concepts can also be developed specifically for publishing.

Publishing also strengthens the company’s larger business model. A successful character or story should be able to move between books, animation, film, merchandise, games, and digital experiences. By developing stories across multiple formats, SEW can reach new audiences while creating additional revenue, licensing, retail, and intellectual-property opportunities.
